The U.S. made Maadi MISR is Maadi's solution to the ban on sporterized firearms that allow more than 10 rounds.  While they do produce an imported ten round version.  The U.S. MISR is manufactured here in the U.S.  Parts from Maadi are shipped in to the country and then assembled on U.S. made receivers.  Five other us parts are also included in this rifle in order to comply with the ten imported parts law.  Being officially U.S. made, it allows the rifle to have a pistol grip and accept high capacity magazines.

The rifle comes with manual, sling, five round magazine and cleaning kit. The finish of these rifles is o.k. it is not really bad but it is not a SA-85M.  The wood stocks are really bad and poorly varnished with huge coats of lacquer.  Nothing a little sanding and refinishing wouldn't fix.  We have herd rumors that the front sight is canted off center a common problem with INTRAC rifles.  For some reason Maadi is not releasing a list of what parts are imported and what parts are U.S. made.  We believe the furniture on  the rifle was imported meaning you could replace the furniture with any imported furniture you want.  We believe the trigger group and the magazine components are U.S. made.  Note the rifle would be in violation of 922 (r) should you put unmodified high capacity magazines in the rifle.  A modified magazine would consist of a U.S. follower and floor plate.  If you wish to use any magazine you want then you must replace two other imported parts with U.S. parts in order to be legal.  AK-47.net dose not claim to be able to interpret the law, you should check with your local and State authorities concerning the regulations of these rifles. Please send any information you may have on this rifle to webmaster@ak-47.net
